Footloose Fella’s rock to samba party

Date:

FELLA’S Dance School Year End Show presented Carnaval Rio de Janeiro at Port Alfred High School on Saturday with belly dancers, fire dancers, guest stars from East London and “The Boys” who earned an encore.

Twan Badenhorst’s belly dancers arrived at the stage on a float and performed various dances in lovely costumes throughout the evening.

In one of the acts, Lindi Peterse from Bathurst danced a belly dance with a candelabra on her head, the swaying lit candles striking in the darkness.

Twan and husband Kyle Badenhorst also danced the Samba, a Brazilian dance typical of the Rio Carnaval.
The guest stars from East London were belly dancing duo, Josie Nel and Roxie Daniel, who shook their booties and rocked the house.

Kyle and “The Boys”, Anthony Bowdler, Aldair Borges, Warren Bowdler and Kirsten Jones, received an encore for their dance which although it was not exactly a strip-tease, was designed to please the ladies.
The dancers left the stage in procession and danced with members of the audience at the end of the show – a great party to end the night.
