Water cuts to be experienced during installation of new fire hydrants

PARTS of Port Alfred will be without water for several hours of the day between Monday July 10 and Wednesday July 12 next week, as Ndlambe Municipality installs hydrants.

Construction activities are to be undertaken in the following streets and areas: Beach Road, Prince’s Ave, Grand Street, Freshwater Road, corner Southwell Road and George Street, Royal Port Alfred Golf Club, Willows car park, Westcliff Lane, Milkwoods Retirement Village, Main Street at FNB, Campbell Street and Bank Lane.

This construction will take place between 8am and 4pm.

Ndlambe superintendent of water and sanitation Enoch Jobela said the duration of works per hydrant would be about three hours, so the water would not be switched off completely for the whole day.

Any enquires regarding this can be directed to Jobela on 082-290-0848 or Mr September on 072-496-5249.

“Thanking you for your cooperation,” Jobela said.
