Kenton SAPS have lucky mandrax bust while in search of stolen phone

On August 8, Kenton SAPS were conducting a follow up investigation on a stolen cell phone in Marcelle. They stopped at a house that was pointed out by the complainant.

The suspect greeted the team and allowed them a search of his premises. While the search was being undertaken, the suspect went towards his clothing that was in the cupboard.

Under the watchful eye of the team, an envelope fell from the cupboard. On inspection of the envelope 320 mandrax tablets were discovered worth a total of street value of R 25 600. A 31 year old male suspect was arrested. He will appeared in the Kenton on Sea magistrates court yesterday on a charge of possession of mandrax.
