Tuesday’s shoot-out between armed criminals and the police on Bathurst Road shows
that our area is not immune to attack. In this instance the suspected farm attackers did not
achieve their goal, and a police report stated that one of the gang of four was wounded and taken to hospital. Crime is never going go away, but it is the sort of incident that should bring the community together in condemnation of the event.
