PORT Alfred running club, the Kowie Striders, held its annual prize giving at the Ski-boat Club last Friday evening, and the list of achievements by its members made for some pretty impressive reading.
The highly-anticipated event was sponsored by Buco, and included a delicious three-course buffet-style meal and, more importantly, the recognition the sporting prowess of various award winners.
Club chairman Sticks Stiglingh read the résumés of the winners, showing just how dedicated to the sport the members are. He was ably assisted by vice chairwoman Frieda Greyling.
