IT was a great day of golf, a superb supper at the Royal Port Alfred Golf Club on Friday and a great turn-out for Port Alfred Sunshine Coast Hospice, with 190 diners listening to the hilarious anecdotes of former Proteas spin bowler, Pat Symcox, as he regaled them with stories of his days with the South African national cricket team.
It was a great evening of comradery, to meet old friends while supporting hospice and the essential service it affords the ill and dying.
More in next Thursday’s (March 2) Talk of the Town.
