LOCAL singer, dancer, choreographer, comedian and all-round entertainer Jeanne Harris-Metter, better known to her fans as Flame, will be performing her final show, The Last Cabaret, at Settlers Park’s Don Powis Hall on Thursday April 13, before she moves back to Las Vegas.
The former (and future) Vegas showgirl has been entertaining audiences all around the area, showing off her ability to put on a great show for her ever-growing audience. But that will all come to a triumphant end with The Last Cabaret, as Flame will be returning to her adopted hometown in the Nevada Desert sometime in the middle of the year.
“I really loved being here in Port Alfred,” she said, “and I’ve met a lot of great people and made a lot of good friends.”
Still, her heart has always been in the bright lights and fun that is Las Vegas, where Flame and her friends performed shows on a regular basis.
“I will do some costume design and maybe some choreography to get my hand in again,” she said.
Joining her on stage in this final show will be dancers, Melissa du Randt and Adelina Snyman who have appeared before in several shows with Flame. Also on the stage for the show will be the prince of country-rock, Scott Harvey. Bringing some laughs to the show will be Flame’s perennial partner, Rob Knowles.
So, for a whole lot of fun, why not book your seat for what promises to be a really great show and the last time you can see Flame on a South African stage.
The Last Cabaret will start at 7pm, and tickets cost R100, available at Settlers Park, C’est La Vie or by calling Flame on 072-632-1281. You will also be able to purchase a beef of chicken burger for R40 on the night, and a cash bar will be available.
