THE Damant morning market is one of the favourites among thrifty shoppers who know a good thing when they see it.
Aside from the bric-a-brac, there are fresh vegetables, delicious curries and boerie rolls, tea, coffee and cakes along with a brilliantly festive atmosphere.
This year’s market took place on Saturday morning and, judging by the numbers that waited anxiously outside the main gate before the official opening time of 9am, the market demands (or Damant’s?) a lot of interest from people as far away as Grahamstown.
