THE start of the year saw 25-year-old Ziyanda Bans joining the Talk of the Town family, and she will be looking after sales administration as well as classified advertisements.
A Port Alfred girl, born and bred, Bans currently lives with her mom and her sister in town.
Having graduated from NMMU (now, Nelson Mandela University) with a Dip Mus, Bans had intended to take her teaching certificate, but found herself as a data capturer.
“This job was closer to home,” she explained. “But I also took media studies at varsity, and as the job involved the media as well as advertising, I knew this was the job for me.”
