Suspect tracing operation nets 22 offenders


YESTERDAY (Wednesday) a team of seven [police officers] from Nemato led by the branch commander Detective Sergeant Stewart Abrahams gathered information on their outstanding suspects for March and April and went on a spree since 2am on Wednesday morning. They arrested 22 suspects for various contact crimes.

15 suspects, including four females, face charges of serious assault.
Three males face charges of breach of a protection order.
Three suspects were linked and arrested on a charge of  housebreaking and theft.
Three males face a charge of malicious damage to property.

The suspects are aged between 16 and 54.

All suspects will appear in the Port Alfred Magistrates Court this week.
