Braving the cold for the Polar Plunge

Taking a dip in the ocean on the winter solstice. Port Alfred High School’s Polar Plunge drew a good crowd at East Beach this morning, with participants paying R50 towards the school pool project. Young and old alike took part, and some local businesses and organisations who participated as teams dressed in theme for the occasion. Each brave soul received a brekkie bun and coffee or hot chocolate, and a certificate of accomplishment.
