Ndlambe Local Football Association produces future star

After establishing himself as a talented local player, Siyabulela Nkombisa’s prominence in football has paved the way for him to greener pastures.

RISING STAR: Born in Nemato and raised playing football, Siyabulela Nkombisa, 20, was recently recruited by Bush Bucks FC, playing in the ABC Motsepe League

As teams are strengthening their squads, Bush Bucks FC, a former Premier Soccer League competitor, held trials recently in East London, aiming to recruit players to boost its squad.

Knowing his football talent, Nkombisa tried his luck in the trials where players’ abilities are assessed.  Being given an offer meant that the assessors saw Nkombisa’s potential.

Bush Bucks FC is a former Premier Soccer League competitor which knows the prestige of playing at a national level but is currently playing in the ABC Motsepe league, and therefore fighting for its return to PSL status.

The opportunity to play with professionals will grow and mature the township born player’s abilities, considering that he has been playing in unconducive environments.

The necessary resources to equip players are provided by Bush Bucks FC.

For Nkombisa this is a stepping stone to greater opportunities if he continues to shine, because PSL teams also recruit players in the ABC Motsepe League.

It took one week for Bush Bucks FC officials to finalise Nkombisa’s deal, and as a result he left Port Alfred on October 21 to join the club.

Nkombisa’s football record is supported by the number of goals he scored in the most recent season of the Ndlambe Local Football Association.

The Nemato-born offensive player was playing for Majagga Stars where he scored 18 goals for the team.
