Municipal spokesman, Cecil Mbolekwa wrote:
Ndlambe Municipality is currently experiencing a burst pipe on the pumping main from Pump Station number 2, which is causing the current water outages in the following areas; Nemato Township, Thornhill, Station Hill and Port Alfred Town.
Initially we had experienced challenges with power failures and other burst pipes at Wesley Hill over the past weekend. However, these challenges have been resolved and we currently have a dedicated team that is working hard at resolving the burst pipe at Pump Station no.2.
Our technical team is anticipating that the water issues should be resolved before the midnight of the January 28.
The Municipality would like to apologize for the inconvenience and trust that we will have this issue resolved as soon as possible.
