Gospel event promoter and Ndlambe FM radio presenter Lifa Budaza has been nominated for the Gabriel Global Gospel awards.
Born and bred in Port Alfred, Budaza grew up in Endlovini, attended Port Alfred High School, and has been a presenter on Ndlambe FM for more than three years. Growing up in a church, he has had a love for gospel music for a long time.
“I can say that my passion for gospel grew from a very young age. Growing up in church made me see that this is what I want to do, this is the direction I wanted my life to go and I can say I am happy that I followed my passion,” Budaza said.
He has been nominated in the best radio presenter category, and he is up against presenters from different community radio stations in East London, Cape Town and Gauteng just to name a few.
“The nomination has shocked me and made me happy at the same time. I knew that one day I was going to make it, and I am very happy that it finally happened, because I have always wanted to be on a bigger platform of presenting,” said Budaza.
The Gabriel Global Gospel Awards recognise the role of many talented gospel individuals that serve and provide a positive and spiritual message to the community.
According to the Gabriel Global Gospel Awards’ facebook page, their aim is to spotlight 14 categories for their dedication and commitment in spreading the message of Jesus Christ in Nelson Mandela Bay and surrounding areas and awarding them.
It is not a competition, but “an event that honours and recognises talented and hardworking children of God”. They also aim to unite believers in Christ to fellowship together to highlight God’s grace over their lives.
The awards ceremony will be held in the Feather Market hall Port Elizabeth on June 5.
