Balance, grace and athletic ability are essential properties of champion surfers and 15-year-old Surfing South Africa Longboard Champion Kye Macgregor has them all in spades as he proved at this year’s Royal St Andrews Hotel Amanzi Challenge.

As if not satisfied, Macgregor then went on to confirm his ability at Cape St Francis just days later, where he picked up yet another accolade as the 2019 U16 Longboard champion.

At the Amanzi Challenge, displaying his board-riding skill in the final heat of the Men’s Open Longboard Macgregor managed to beat the opposition, including international competitor Sam Christianson of Durban.
