South Africa had 2,514 new Covid-19 coronavirus cases, according to health minister Zweli Mhkize.
There have been a total of 20,671 deaths to date from a total of 759,658 confirmed positive cases with 113,139 from the Eastern Cape. There have been 702,544 recoveries.
With 232,388 confirmed cases, Gauteng has the highest number of infections nationwide.
