South Africa had 4,011 new Covid-19 coronavirus cases, according to health minister Zweli Mhkize.
There have been a total of 22,432 deaths to date from a total of 821,889 confirmed positive cases with 139,055 from the Eastern Cape. There have been 753,072 recoveries.
With 239,099 confirmed cases, Gauteng has the highest number of infections nationwide.
