South Africa had 7,552 new Covid-19 coronavirus cases, according to health minister Zweli Mhkize. There have been a total of 23,661 deaths to date from a total of 873,679 confirmed positive cases with 151,466 from the Eastern Cape. There have been 764,977 recoveries. With 247,394 confirmed cases, Gauteng has the highest number of infections nationwide.
