South Africa had 11,859 new Covid-19 coronavirus cases, according to health minister Zweli Mhkize. There have been a total of 29,577 deaths to date from a total of 1,100,748 confirmed positive cases with 173,592 from the Eastern Cape. There have been 903,679 recoveries. With 298,068 confirmed cases, Gauteng has the highest number of infections nationwide.
