South Africa had 11,761 new Covid-19 coronavirus cases, according to health minister Zweli Mhkize. There have been a total of 40,076 deaths to date from a total of 1,392,568 confirmed positive cases with 189,559 from the Eastern Cape. There have been 1,201,284 recoveries. With 375,761 confirmed cases, Gauteng has the highest number of infections nationwide.
