I FIRMLY believe the present ANC government and the Christian church in South Africa are in bigger trouble than they realise.
The ANC is in this situation because it does not stand on God’s laws and has in fact turned its back on Christianity.
The ANC’s lack of courage to confront critical problems such as Aids, national health, corruption, job creation, education, SAA, the Post Office and Eskom show clearly the cracks in the very foundations of the ANC.
Power corrupts and total power corrupts totally, as the saying goes.
The ANC has serious moral problems and only a miracle will save them.
Even more disturbing is the situation of the Christian churches in South Africa at the moment.
To fear God is the beginning of wisdom. It is to love Him and to fear the consequences of His anger. God’s commandments can hardly be recited these days by Christians.
Some are even deemed to be no longer relevant. The pinnacle of God’s creation is the birth of a child made in His image, incorporating the lineage of the two families for centuries, which are then combined into a single new creation (each with billions of characteristics to prove it), with a brain of incalculable creative ability and with the power of decision to accept or reject their Creator.
It is frightening that some of our bigger political parties condone the murdering of these infants. Under the legality of The Choice on Termination of Pregnancy Act, it is estimated that there are now more than 200 abortions a day in South Africa.
There are always consequences for sin. Father, have mercy on us.
Although 80% of our population claim to be Christian, the ANC is doing its very best to
suppress Christianity. Attempts were made to eliminate Good Friday and Christmas Day from our calendar. Ascension Day has already been eliminated.
Christian teaching in our schools has been suppressed under the cloak of “freedom of choice”.
So, in reality, a small minority in opposition to Christianity now control 80% of the culture of our population.
It is no wonder that our youth do not know Jesus or honour their parents or fear God.
They just do not have a foundation on which to build their education or their lives. How tragic.
The state now also dictates how we should discipline our children. A direct result of these state impositions can now be seen in the current destructive revolt of our youth against their
own leaders. Without the love and compassion which Jesus brings into their lives, there is little hope of reconciliation.
South Africa desperately needs God-fearing Christians in all the decisionmaking forums.
We deserve the party we vote for. Why not vote for the six African Christian Democratic Party candidates, men and women who cannot be bought, who are accountable to God.
We are indeed fortunate to have such people standing as candidates for the ACDP.
You now have a choice in this region and every vote counts. Vote ACDP that South Africa might remain a Christian country and that God’s voice will be heard by those in power.
