Missing woman found dead

The search for the missing Gina Smith, 42, of Port Alfred concluded today after a local farmer alerted the SAPS of a vehicle that was spotted by communications technicians who were working in the Woesthill area on the Southwell farm road a little after midday today.

Rescue workers took several hours to recover the body, which was several hundred meters down a cliff, police spokesman Captain Mali Govender said.

The cause of the incident is unknown. An inquest docket has been opened for investigation.
