Serendipity with Bev Young
ONE can hardly “turn a page” or read any history for that matter, without the name Edward Morse Jones popping up.
A great reader and researcher of 1820 Settler history in this region, there are chronicles written and published by this man. He spent his time reading anything he could find, from settler letters and diaries; researching in Grahamstown in the Cory Library, and visiting farms in the region.
Morse Jones was, in essence, the unsung hero of information in our area. His works are available at the Kowie History Museum in the old station building.
