Load shedding schedules – and where to find them

The recently enforced load shedding by Eskom caught many people off-guard and is a consequence of insufficient planning by the power utility management who failed to secure coal prices and supply as well as not keeping up with the maintenance of their power stations.

At the time of writing the whole of South Africa is working according to the load shedding schedule which is now at stage 2.

Each area in Ndlambe municipal area has its own schedule and these can be found at http://loadshedding.eskom.co.za/. Times and schedule will change from sub-area to sub-area and should the criticality change (from the current stage 3, upward or downward) the times will change.
