South Africa had 4,116 new Covid-19 coronavirus cases, according to health minister Zweli Mhkize.
There have been a total of 22,206 deaths to date from a total of 814,565 confirmed positive cases with 136,722 from the Eastern Cape. There have been 744,780 recoveries.
With 237,719 confirmed cases, Gauteng has the highest number of infections nationwide.
