South Africa had 14,046 new Covid-19 coronavirus cases, according to health minister Zweli Mhkize.
There have been a total of 25,657 deaths to date from a total of 954,258 confirmed positive cases with 162,452 from the Eastern Cape. There have been 811,372 recoveries.
With 263,166 confirmed cases, Gauteng has the highest number of infections nationwide.
