THE Ben Lumko Dlakulu (BLD) Dancesport Club of Nemato walked away with a total of 24 medals when they competed in the Arnold Classics Worldwide Sports Festival event in Sandton recently.
Thirteen members of the year-old dancesport club competed at the event, which is regarded as “the biggest multi-sport event on the African continent”. The baker’s dozen scored eight gold medals, six silver medals, eight bronze medals and four certificates from participation in Latin dances (samba, chacha, rumba, passo and the jive), as well as in standard dances (Viennese waltz, slow foxtrot, waltz, tango and quickstep).
