Folks who complain there is no entertainment in Port Alfred had no excuse last Saturday night when the Lions Club of Port Alfred hosted the Beanie Rebels dance party at the Port Alfred High School hall.
The talented five-piece band from Port Elizabeth delivered musically faithful covers of dozens of rock and roll classics, from laid-back Bob Marley to the Eagles, CCR, Neil Diamond, Pink Floyd and some virtuoso guitar-playing on Guns and Roses’ Sweet Child of Mine and Led Zeppelin’s Stairway to Heaven.
