The current water crisis in the area has caused many areas of Ndlaqmbe to be without water for some time. This is the latest schedule of water load-shedding as well as opportunities for residents to learn more about water and sanitation.

WATER CONSERVATION AND SANITATION INFORMATION
Ndlambe Municipality, together with the Dept of Water and Sanitation will be undertaking a series of water conservation and sanitation educational talks in Port Alfred. The schedule for these talks is:

UPDATE ON CURRENT WATER SITUATION
The water situation in Port Alfred remains at critical. The introduction of a water schedule has worked well for most areas. Last week there was a burst pipe on the West Bank, resulting in that area not receiving any water. The fittings for the pipe have been sourced and repairs are underway, thus these areas can expect water on Wednesday, according to the schedule. Ndlambe Municipality apologises for the inconvenience and assures residents that all care is being taken to affect the repairs as a matter of urgency.
N.B Due to levels keeping on dropping some high laying areas will still face challenges even during the day scheduled for the area to receive water.
