The annual Buco Golf Day at Royal Port Alfred Golf Club on Friday drew 120 golfers to one of the biggest RPAGC events of the year. Golfers participating in the 4-Ball Alliance competition, with proceeds going to Palcare, had to endure some strong gusts of wind during play, but it was all about the camaraderie, fun and some of the eye-catching prizes on offer. And, there were prizes galore, from safes, dog food, hiking backpacks, dog food, beverages, to large adidas cooler boxes. And, once the last play was done and dusted, golfers headed to the clubhouse to join special guests for some fun and revelry. Buco’s Gerhard van der Walt had a special word of thanks to the company suppliers for “making the evening possible and a huge success. Thank you also to all our clients for who we will continue providing only the best service,” he said.
AMONG THE WINNERS: Wouter Hensens, Othi Matiwana, and Ashley Palm collect their prizes from Ocki Goosen and Gerhard van der Walt for ending up in seventh spot.
RIGHT UP THERE: Warwick Heny, Paul Terblanche, Richard Heny and Mauritz were among the prize-winners on the night.
RUNNERS-UP: Matt Bedford, left, Tiny Bruce, Ross Bedford and Gary Bull were placed second in the tournament.
WELL EARNED: This group of women golfers made sure they were not left out among the prize-winners on Friday night.
