YESTERDAY, Grahamstown Highway Patrol stopped a white VW Golf at vehicle check point on N2. They tested the engine number which revealed that the vehicle was reported stolen from Algoa Park.
The vehicle was taken to the SAPS vehicle identification section for and further inspection. The three occupants were released pending further investigation but the vehicle seized.
Grahamstown Highway Patrol found one Malawian male with 26 brand new cell phones, tablets, various chargers and powerpacks in his possession on Raglan Road on the September 5. The man did not have any receipt or invoice for the items with an approximate value over R141 000. He was arrested for possession of suspected stolen property
