NEW to the Kenton Runners Club is Kenton local, Vuyisani Nobi, who runs time trials with the new club when he isn’t working, is described as an inspiration to all youngsters as he shows much dedication and hard work through all aspects of his life.
“He is an inspiration to all youngsters, as he shows much dedication and hard work through all aspects of his life,” said Shona Bell of the Kenton Runners Club.
Nobi entered the 12km Kenton Rhino Run last Sunday and came in an impressive second place. Barely taking a breather, Nobi didn’t stop at the finish line but sprinted off after the race to be in time for work. Most Rhino Run athletes and bystanders didn’t know that second-placed finisher Nobi had also arrived late for the race and started after the others had left.
Nobi’s dream is to compete in Comrades even though today was his longest run yet.
“We are going to get him there anyway,” said Bell.
