A KENTON man was beaten with a hammer and stabbed by robbers at his home two weeks ago.
The man had a security gate in front of his bedroom, but the robbers were able to climb over the gate. They hit him in the head with a hammer and stabbed his hands with a knife.
“They ordered him to lie down and covered him with a blanket. He could not see their faces,” Govender said.
“The suspects found the complainant’s safe key and took two shotguns, one .22 rifle and a 9mm pistol. They also took his TV, R40 cash and a laptop.”
The victim required hospital treatment for the injuries to his head and hands. A case of house robbery is under investigation.
