
A thick pall of smoke enveloped the top-end of Campbell Street at noon on Monday when EFF members, angry with the municipality because they had demolished the Esleyini graveyard in Nemato, burned rubbish bins and set fire to tyres outside the municipal offices.
The demolition of the graves was the spark that ignited the fire of protest and the EFF decided to draw attention to their plight by causing havoc in the CBD.
