Kleinemonde Morning Market on the first Saturday of every month, from 8.30 to 10am. Kleinemonde Community Hall.  Enjoy breakfast and  browse the stalls selling wholesome farm chickens and home produce, including quality meats, vegetables, pancakes, frozen meals, quiches,  bread, rusks, gingerbread houses,  home baked cakes, doggy treats, candles, gifts and more.

PARKRUN – every Saturday at 08h00
What is Port Alfred Parkrun? It is a 5km run – it’s you against the clock. Where is it? The event takes place at Port Alfred Town Hall, Causeway Road, Port Alfred. See Course page for more details. What does it cost to join in? Nothing – it’s free! but please register before your first run. Only ever register with Parkrun once. Don’t forget to bring a printed copy of your bar code. If you forget it, you won’t get a time. How fast do I have to be? We all run for our own enjoyment. Please come along and join in whatever your pace!

Port Alfred Art Club welcomes new members, both experienced or wanting to learn. We meet weekly offering a monthly DVD from leading artists, giving excellent tips and guidance on how to draw and paint. Contact Jenny (083-292-2650) or Netty (084-584-6629).

Oldenburgia Hiking Club day hike, Bushman’s River Mouth to Diaz Cross and return. Moderate beach walk, about 9.5km there and back. Cost: R10, plus shared fuel cost. Bring a hat, sunscreen, plenty of water, snacks and lunch. Bring a cozzie if you want to swim. Meet at the parking area outside PnP, Pepper Grove, Grahamstown, 7am to leave at 7.15am. If joining from Port Alfred, meet at the Halyards Marina parking area to share lifts at 7.30am. We will park and start the hike outside the Post Office in Bushman’s River (about 8am). PA Art Club – 9am – first meeting of the year, St James Hall. Bring painting for review, DVD and library open. Enjoy catching up with tea or coffee and snacks.

U3A meeting – 9.30 for 10am – Don Powis Hall, Settlers Park. Lindsay Walker to speak on “Our Wandering Continents”. He is registered as a professional natural scientist with clearly an interest in the field of psychology (human behaviour).
