Alzheimer SA East Cape Support Group meets the last Thursday of each month at 3pm at Brookshaw Home at 9 Donkin Street, Grahamstown. The Support Group is for family, friends and caregivers of those with Alzheimer’s Disease or any form of Dementia. There is usually a speaker followed by discussion and tea. Sunday July 14

The Salem Church will be holding a “Community Service” at 8.30am, and all “Salemites”, and those with connections to Salem, are invited to come along and enjoy a special time of celebrating Salem.  Tea will be served in the old Salem Academy after the service, where old friends will have a chance to rekindle friendships and reminisce. This will also take the form of a book fair, where several local interest books will be available.

Wednesday July 17

Diaz Cross Bird Club AGM and talk: The AGM of the Diaz Cross Bird Club will be held at the Port Alfred Presbyterian Church at 7 for 7.30pm. Speaker: Lynette Rudman. The AGM will be followed by a Special General Meeting to discuss and vote on proposed changes to the club constitution.
