Kleinemonde Morning Market on the first Saturday of every month, from 8.30 to 10am. Kleinemonde Community Hall.  Enjoy breakfast and  browse the stalls selling wholesome farm chickens and home produce, including quality meats, vegetables, pancakes, frozen meals, quiches,  bread, rusks, gingerbread houses,  home baked cakes, doggy treats, candles, gifts and more.

PARKRUN – every Saturday at 08h00
What is Port Alfred Parkrun? It is a 5km run – it’s you against the clock. Where is it? The event takes place at Port Alfred Town Hall, Causeway Road, Port Alfred. See Course page for more details. What does it cost to join in? Nothing – it’s free! but please register before your first run. Only ever register with Parkrun once. Don’t forget to bring a printed copy of your barcode. If you forget it, you won’t get a time. How fast do I have to be? We all run for our own enjoyment. Please come along and join in whatever your pace!
Pigeon Club – Meets at Port Alfred Country Club, French Street, to basket birds on Thursdays from 5pm and striking out on Saturday from 5pm. Official race programme from May 31 is available. Contact Ray Schenk on 083-558-3195.

Friday July 20 to Sunday July 22

Christmas in July Celebrations at the Historic Pig and Whistle Inn, Bathurst. Friday night – Pig and Whistle garden: Bonfire and opening ceremony with the Port Alfred High School choir singing carols, belly-dancers, fire-dancers, gumboot dancers and traditional singers, an excerpt from Two Blue Ticks, a play featured at the Grahamstown Festival by our very own Corrine Willoughby,  as well as a pub party with DJ Victorious. Saturday – Craft Market (stock up on some early Christmas presents), Saturday night – four course Christmas gala dinner/dance and live music with Harry Lloyd – R185 (bookings essential). Sunday – Craft Market and our famous roast lunch accompanied by live music. Gluwein and mince pies will be on sale the entire weekend.

Port Alfred High School senior netball, hockey and rugby vs Linkside plus junior netball and hockey derby vs Merrifield and El Shaddai on the school grounds.
