THE Port Alfred Soup Kitchen would like to thank TotT for all the media coverage and especially Jon Houzet for hosting our quarterly quiz evening on November 17.
Thank you to MyPond Hotel, together with Stenden SA, for the venue as well as for supplying the finger snacks.
Another successful and funfilled evening was enjoyed by all participants.
An amount of R8200 was raised from ticket sales and donations and R1600 from
raffle sales – thanks again to Fred Tyson who sold all the raffle tickets!
A huge thank you to all our sponsors. The top three prizes were MyPond restaurant vouchers valued at R1200, Stenden SA hoodies valued at R1 200 and a river cruise from the Port Alfred Ski-boat Club valued at R1200.
Thanks also to the Soup Kitchen’s official fundraiser, Ivy Gulliford, for organising a
variety of other prizes.
We are looking forward to our next quarterly quiz evening in February next year.
We truly appreciate all the support as the Soup Kitchen is in dire financial straits and would like to appeal to folks: if everyone in Port Alfred gave just R10, it would help us survive another few months!
