EC: Grahamstown Cluster – Business Robbery

AT about 12.30pm on Monday, the owner of a shop in extension 8, Joza, was counting money to pay for a delivery.

When the delivery vehicle stopped the owner went to open the door and noticed four unknown African males. Once the door was open, the men forced their way into the shop. One robber slapped the complainant and another two pointed firearms at him. They took an undisclosed amount of cash and forced him into a toilet.

Another robber approached the driver of the delivery vehicle and demanded the keys and unlocked it, removing cash that was kept inside.

The robbers fled the scene and are unidentified.
