EC: PORT ALFRED CLUSTER: ALEXANDRIA.
A 28 year old male will make his first appearance in the Alexandria Magistrates Court tomorrow. He was arrested after information was followed on drugs being sold at a house at Konza Street, Kwanonqubela, Alexandria.
During the execution of a search warrant, the team led by the station commander Lt Col Brenda Froehlik, seized the following at the house;
11 bompies dagga, 15 mandrax tablets, three half mandrax tablets, one quarter mandrax tablet, 40 x 470ml of alcohol together with a price list indicating at how much it is being sold.
Also recovered are, two laptops, seven cell phones, one Sony PlayStation, two watches, one (52″) flat screen TV, one (32″) flat-screen TV, seven flash Drives, one iPod, seven sound boxes, one twelve channel sound mixer, two remote controls, 16 packets of cigarettes, 16 pieces of clothing from a known store with its tags on.
The suspect faces the following charges:
(1) Dealing in dagga
(2) Dealing in Mandrax
(3) Possesion of stolen Property
(4) Trading from an illegal liquor outlet
(5) Defeating the ends of Justice. The value of the recovered goods is about R120 000.
