There’s nothing worse than stopping off at your local watering hole for a quick drink – and having a crocodile grab your nose.
Alexander Amuli M’betti Makanga shared this video on Facebook of an elephant’s unlucky encounter with a reptilian predator in Liwonde National Park in Malawi.
In the video, filmed while on a boat safari at Mvuu Camp, the herd of elephants is seen approaching the water to grab a drink when a crocodile leaps out of the murky depths and clamps down on a pachyderm’s trunk.
What ensues is a short, intense fight as the elephant flings his body – and the crocodile – around trying to dislodge the unwelcome baggage before finally freeing himself.
