It has been established that a Rhino has drowned after becoming stuck in mud in the Bushmans river where it was found.
Vet, Dr Dani Jackson, confirmed that there had been two rhino stuck in the river. They managed to get the female out and she is fine, but unfortunately, the second rhino, a male, died. “It looks like the bank collapsed and they both fell into the river,” she said.
