New Rest community members gathered outside the Ndlambe municipal offices this morning demanding answers on promises made by local government to urge the Department of Human Settlements to address the community regarding permanent housing. The community gave local government seven days to respond which could not be met.
Last week community members closed and blockaded the R67 to Bathurst and took their protest to Titi Jonas Hall after being urged by SAPS to open the road and take the protest to the municipal chambers.
