3 policemen and community members injured during protests in Port Alfred
Three policemen and three community members were injured when protesters clashed with the police during a housing delivery protest in Port Alfred in the Eastern Cape. They were taken to hospital for treatment. Residents of New Rest and Cricket Field informal settlements took to the streets at about 2am, blockading the R67 between Port Alfred and Grahamstown with burning objects.
