EC: Port Alfred Cluster :
Today Nemato detectives who conducted a “Back to Basics” operation, successfully traced and arrested nine suspects on recently reported cases.The operation which included local detectives and a member of the Port Alfred K9 unit, under the guidance and supervision of the stations detective commander started at 3am and terminated at 1pm.
- A 17 year old male was arrested for theft.
- A 45 years old female was arrested on a warrant of arrest for theft that took place in January this year.
- A 42 year old female was arrested on a breach of protection order
- A 27 year old male was arrested on a charge of common robbery.
- A 25 year old male was arrested for serious assault.
- A 23 year old male for housebreaking and theft. Clothing to the value of R870 which was stolen was also recovered.
- A 17 year old male was arrested for serious assault.
- A 28 years old male was arrested for breach of protection order.
- A 24 year old male was arrested for common robbery. A knife believed to have been used by the suspect was also seized.
