DA marches against women and child abuse

The Democratic Alliance Women’s Network (DAWN) is hosting a march to create awareness against women and child abuse.

Members of the local DA branch including constituency leader, Jane Cowley accompanied by Celeste Barker, a member of the provincial legislature as well as the chairperson of DAWN in the Eastern cape, gathered on the corner of Joe Slovo and Nkonjane Street in Ward 7, Nemato, Port Alfred where they sang songs in protest against abuse.

“We will then march to the Nkwenkwezi Police Station to hand over a memorandum to the Station Commander,” said ward 7 councilor, Khanyisa Daweti
