A joint operation of Port Alfred Vispol, Operation Coordinated Committee (OCC) and Crime intelligence Unit (CID) led to the arrest of two males from East London who went to purchase meat at P. A Butchery fraudulently.
The owners said the suspects placed an order on August 18 2017 for meat to the value of R17 658 which was collected just before 5pm and taken to East London.
Another order was placed again for meat to the value of R19 000. The suspects were arrested en route to East London.
More details are not clear at this point. SAPS are investigating and are expecting more arrests and the recovery of meat.
