Kenton woman victim of ostrich attack

A KENTON on Sea woman was the victim of an ostrich attack on a nature reserve near Port Alfred earlier this week. The incident occurred when the woman accompanied by fellow hikers stopped to take a photograph and edged closer to the animal before it charged her.

According to reports the ostrich kicked the woman multiple times and then stomped on her. The woman was rushed to Port Alfred Hospital where she was x-rayed and then taken to St Georges Hospital in Port Elizabeth where she is being treated for a bad hip fracture, and a dislocated hip.
