A GREAT EVENT: First Hostess, Tavimbanashe Zisengwe, centred, did an incredible job at hosting as her crew worked incredibly well, as a tight-knit unit, to ensure that everyone present at the MyPond Beer and Biltong tasting event held last week was treated like royalty. Two of the three beers being tasted were the Kowie Pilsner, and the Coin Ale besides it, followed by the Squire’s Porter. And the Biltong being paired was, from top to bottom in brown paperbag, the sweet droewors, the bacon biltong and the the eland biltong – which were truly a delight. One of the platters served at the Beer and Biltong Tasting evening was a mini sized cheesy pizza and small sliced hamburgers. Pictures: LEBOGANG TLOU/ DEREK ROWSWELL

MYPOND hotel became a hub of activity last Wednesday evening when the student managers hosted a highly successful and well-supported Beer and Biltong Tasting evening.
From the moment one entered, there were warm smiles waiting to usher in and serve attendees by taking tickets and issuing craft beer coupons.
The hordes in attendance were festive and cheerful….
The portions were filling, the atmosphere calm and relaxed, and the night was amazing to all in attendance, with the last throngs only beginning to leave the venue at 9.30pm.
