In Talk of the Town’s most recent online poll where we asked our readers how old they were when they had children revealed that the vast majority – 56 of the total 79 people who responded – said they had children while they were between 21 and 35 years of age.
The next highest percentage of respondents, 11% of the total, said they plan to live a child-free life.
Seven voters had children older than 35, equalling to 9% of the votes.
Five people (6% of the total votes) said they don’t have children as finances don’t allow for it and 3% of voters said they are still planning on having children.
Zero voted for having adopted children.
