Upgrading of the national route between Grahamstown and Fish River Pass – Phase 2

The South African National Roads Agency SOC Ltd (SANRAL) would like to notify travellers that controlled blasting is scheduled to take place, today, Thursday October 19 and Saturday October 21, on the N2, Section 13 between KM 88 and KM 91, between Grahamstown and the Fish River Pass, weather permitting.

Today, October 19, the road will be closed between 2.45pm and 3.45pm between the KM90 and KM91 road markers. The blast is scheduled to take place at 3pm.

On Saturday October 21, the blast will take place 12 noon, between the KM 80 and KM 81 road markers. The road will be closed.

“Motorists are asked to plan their trips accordingly, and to use caution when making use of the road,” said Mbulelo Peterson, SANRAL Southern Region’s manager.

SANRAL apologises for any inconvenience caused.
