After starting with prayer and praise in the historic Clumber Church building this morning, the Methodist women’s choir led the procession of congregants, followed by circuit minister Rev Sandile Kalipa and bishop-elect of the Grahamstown district Rev Jacob Freemantle down to the tent for the Holy Communion service marking the church’s 150th anniversary. About 650 people attended the special gathering.
